Easter Celebration Weekend

E is for Easter....and Emersyn too of course!
What a fun Easter weekend we had!!

Friday evening we dyed easter eggs for the first time with Emersyn. It was fun to have my mom and brother with us too. Daddy helped Emersyn dye one, pink of course!

My little Easter bunny.
Saturday we woke up early to take my mom to the airport for her 8:30am flight. We had to wake poor Emersyn up and load her into the car in her jammies. It was so sad to say goodbye to my mom but the good news is, she will be back in about 6 weeks! Whoo hoo!
This was probably my mom's favorite moment of her entire trip. Emersyn doesn't fall asleep in anyone's arms so she must have been pooped. So precious.
Saturday afternoon we went to a birthday party for our neighbors daughter who turned 4. It was Emersyn’s first official bday party that she was invited to, so cute. It was a princess theme and Emersyn even got an age appropriate goody bag. I think Emersyn’s favorite part of the party was the balloons, she kept trying to eat them and was smiling when I bonked her on the head with them.

Saturday evening we went to Brett’s parent’s house to celebrate Emersyn’s cousin Annabel’s 5th birthday. Her daddy made her one of his trademark special cakes, a frog. We had a fun evening and Emersyn enjoyed visiting with everyone. We hadn’t seen Brett’s family for 2 ½ weeks since my parents were in town and I know Emersyn had missed them!

Emersyn was really digging the wrapping paper. She realized that if she tried to, she could bite a hunk out of it.

See the chunk in her mouth?

A little resistant when Nana was trying to get it out of her mouth! So naughty!! :)

Cousin Genevieve is so good with Emers.

Emersyn fell asleep on the way home, she was pooped.
Sunday morning was incredible at our church. Our (fairly new) Senior Pastor and his wife have really tried to create a sense of community in our congregation and have done a fantastic job. Emersyn was the cutest baby there (of course!!) and her couture (doesn’t that just mean handmade?) Easter dress was a hit. We like to keep Emersyn with us during the worship and singing part of the service and now we take her to the nursery during the sermon so that she can play and so that Mommy and Daddy can pay attention.
Emersyn is rocking some crazy hair in this picture!!

Sitting in the pew, waiting for church to start.

Could she be any cuter??!? Love the ruffle socks.

Emersyn and her fake coughs crack me up.
After church we went to Easter lunch at a family favorite spot, the Old Spaghetti Factory. Emersyn had a fun time being a big girl in her high chair and watching everyone eat. She is so funny now, whenever we are eating she kind of smacks her lips together like she wants to be eating too.

Happy family.

Having fun with Uncle Brock.

Cousins.
After lunch we went home to change and then headed down to Albany to visit some family. First we stopped at Emersyn’s Great Aunt Babe’s house for some dessert.
Emersyn's Great Grandma Stanton. She is 93 or 94 and still very active!
Then we headed to Great Grandma and Grandpa Jensen’s house to visit some more family. While we were there we changed Emerysn into her darling Easter jammies. Note her cute tush. :)

Great Grandma Jensen.
Great Grandpa Jensen.
It was a long day but full of fun and family and that is what the holidays are all about! I can't wait to teach Emersyn about the true meaning of holidays as she grows up.
Looking forward to a great week of getting settled again now that all my house "guests" are gone. Tonight: 24!!! That show stresses me out but I love it!
