Daily Blogging = FAIL :)

I didn't mean to fail. On Thursday I spent most of my free time on the phone with Dr's and insurance just trying to find a new OB. I was totally drained at the end of the day and just didn't have it in me to blog. Then I left for Sunriver, OR for a couples retreat with our church for three days and didn't bring my laptop in hopes of reconnecting with my husband, versus connecting with the blogging community. :)

We had a great weekend and even though it was really hard for me to leave Emersyn, I sure enjoyed waking up when I wanted to, only having to feed myself and get myself ready, etc. :) I had fun playing games with friends and the people we went with will be life long friends for sure. I am so thankful for a community of inspiring and wonderful people to live life alongside. I also came away inspired to be a better wife to my husband. Marriage is something that needs to be maintained and nurtured for sure.

One of the highlights of the weekend for me though was Brett feeling Everett moving around for the first time. :)

We got home last night to a very excited little girl who was VERY happy to see us. It's always fun to see how happy she is to see us when we've left her for any time at all.

Today I started potty training. I had this scheduled for the past several weeks and so far have reserved the week minus a couple outings that I can't avoid. I don't have a whole lot on the schedule next week either so hopefully we can really get some momentum. This morning started out kinda rough. I had an out of town friend that I wanted to visit with who brought her three kids over and I'm not sure if the distraction was a good or bad thing for Emersyn. Finally this afternoon though we've had two successes of dry pants plus getting to the potty in time to go pee. There were times this morning that I thought she would never get it. Patience isn't my strongest suit. :)

This weekend is Brett's grandma's 95th birthday and I am in charge of decorations. I haven't done much yet but am probably going to get out tonight for an hour or so to do a little shopping (and get a little fresh air). :) Pray for me this week.......I'm hoping Ems gets potty training quick. I totally understand why *they* advise you doing it before they turn two....a strong will is not a fun thing to overcome.

My parents get here in a little over three weeks and I have so much to do before they get here. I always aspire to mega clean and reorganize. I desperately need my house to be cleaned. I feel like I slacked off SO much during my first trimester that I'm having trouble ever getting caught up. *Maybe* if I get the house picked up, I can talk Brett into having it cleaned for an early Mother's Day present??? :) :) (Will someone email my husband and plant this idea into his brain?? Ha ha...... brettcjensen@gmail.com just in case someone takes me literally, I won't be upset).

The Old Navy in Bend had some amazing clearance items and I got a couple things for Everett and Emersyn. (Once this weekend I accidentally said Everson and I think that is actually a really cute name, ha!) I started to get really excited when I was looking through the little newborn boy stuff. I can't believe I'm going to have my own little man to snuggle with soon. I just can't wait to meet him and see what he's like. :)

Okay, I think that's it for now. (I hope you feel caught up on my life now Caitlin, hee hee). Here's to better daily blogging and successful potty training!! :)

How come you switched OBs? Pretty sure you have Kaiser based on prior posts...who did you have and who did you switch to?

I ended up with a midwife (I didn't really care actually)...Paula Hammond. I don't really have something positive or negative about her. All two of my appointments have been short without much going on really.

Patti-Hang in there! Potty training (for me at least) was the hardest thing do to. Jaiden was easy :), the girls-not so much. They both caught on, then regressed once they were almost three. Ugh. So glad that is all behind me. Let me know if you need help cleaning :) I hear you about getting things done-I am barely keeping my head above water these days :( ~S

Ugh, dealing with Dr's offices is such a pain! I'm totally rooting for a house cleaning for your Mothers Day present. Just sayin'. I may have done a little thought planting to an email address that you listed on your blog. Wouldn't it be neat if Inception were real, and we could pay people in cookies to plant thoughts into our husbands minds?? Okay, slightly creepy in theory, but still. ;) Good luck with the potty training. It's an adventure.
