Wee Bit Wednesday

{ONE} What was one thing you valued when you were a kid?
I loved that my parents idea of family time was a day on our boat exploring the river or the lake. I loved getting to sit in the back of the truck with my brother back when that was legal and head down the freeway to the Willamette river. I loved my mom's sub sandwiches that she'd make for our days out on the boat that were AMAZING and I still love them!! Family days on the boat are something I will always treasure.

{TWO} What was your favorite (& least favorite) subject in school?
Hated math. Loved english and actually I loved human anatomy & physiology in high school.

{THREE} Do you remember your first love?
Yup. I wake up next to him every morning!

{FOUR} What one pet would you love to have?
We'd love a little dog, maybe a Yorkie. Brett would get one today if I'd let him but I think we need to wait until Everett gets a little older. I think this time next year would be fun to get a dog!

{FIVE} Would you rather live in the country or the city?
I feel like I do live in the country sometimes. If you go a 1/4 mile south of my house there are tons of farms including a llama farm that I honk at each time I drive by to the delight of my daughter. I'm also a 1/4 mile from a Target. Go figure. It's a cool area *sorta*. :)

{SIX} What do you love about blogging?
Going back and re-reading posts from when I was pregnant with Ems and when she was first born and all the memories we've created. I also love the community.

{SEVEN} What is the first website you visit everyday?
GMAIL

{EIGHT} Will you or have you joined Google +?
I have joined it but I don't really get it and am not really looking to either.

{NINE} What is your favorite scent of candle/air freshener?
Fresh laundry. :)

{TEN} How would you describe your style?

Umm....non-existent? :) Ha!

Wee Bit Wednesday

{one} what’s the #1 most played song on your iPod (or whatever you use)?Hmm....probably the Kids Praise CD that is in my van. Ems loves listening to worship music, especially "mommy's favorite song" (Mighty to Save) which she requests the most.

{two} what’s your favorite type of exercise?I love walking and chatting with friends. I also enjoy bike riding!
{three} what’s your least favorite mode of transportation?I am not a huge fan of flying.
{four} if you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what would it be?Hmm....maybe 30 or 31. I'll have a baby and a big girl, fun ages for my kids. :)
{five} when you have 30 minutes of free time, what do you use it to do?Geez, probably something silly like post a blog. But like if I'm making dinner and something needs to bake or cook for 30 minutes, I'll usually do a power cleaning session and get a lot done.
{six} what do you miss the most about being a kid?The lack of bills and responsibility.
{seven} when was the last time you were nervous?I was actually nervous before my baby shower last week. I just wanted to make sure that everyone had a great time and that I got to talk to everyone and make them feel appreciated. I didn't worry about it not being a great shower, I was positive that was going to be the case, I just wanted to make sure that I conveyed my gratitude and appreciation to each guest.
{eight} what was the first thing you bough with your own money when you were young?I remember paying for my ears to be pierced at the state fair when I was like 10 maybe? I remember I had saved my money and was SO excited when the dollar amount hit the *double digits*. The ear piercing was $13, drained my savings. :)
{nine} what is your favorite month of the year?October. I LOVE fall!!!! I also love August...both of my babies birthdays are in August. :)
{ten} what are 3 songs from the soundtrack of your life?Bebo Norman's "A Page is Turned" (this was the song that played during the slide show at our wedding...I can't listen to it without bawling like a baby!!!)"Saving Grace" by United Live (another song at my wedding ironically but I just LOVE the words)"I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz- the first song that Emersyn REALLY loved and listening to it makes me so happy.

Wee Bit Wednesday

Yesterday was my 500th post. And it was entirely about a shady car dealership. That has to be some sort of blogger fail, right?? I just went to create this post and saw "500 posts" staring at me. How silly for me to have missed it. I am going to acknowledge my 500 posts though through a giveaway soon. I've never done a giveaway and I've won several so it's time to pay it forward, don't you think?

I've been enjoying this "wee bit of me Wednesday" meme. I got a little burnt out on these for awhile but I think in moderation they can be fun. I appreciate that this meme doesn't ask inappropriate questions. I swear, in practically every meme there is SOME question about your underwear, what body part you like, etc. I don't care to participate in those...after all, my mom reads this. ;)

So here we go!

one} what time do you normally wake up?
I wake up between 7:30 and 8 but I know in my heart I should get up earlier. This morning I went to the bathroom at 7am and thought I really should get up. Then I crawled back into my warm bed and snuggled with my husband. Something about this rainy weather makes me want to stay in bed all day!!

{two} do you have a go-to song for karaoke?

Oh man, I never karaoke! I wish I did though, super fun. There used to a non smoking karaoke place in Beaverton that had rooms you could rent and do karaoke in and that was a blast. I think one of my favorite songs to sing back then was "I will survive". It's kind of a classic. The last time I went though I went with a couple friends and sang "Lady Marmalade" which was too fun as well but I wouldn't say it is a "go-to" song.


{three} if you could only see black and white except for one color, what color would you choose to see?
Grass green. It makes me happy.

{four} what color best matches your personality?
Orange?

{five} if you could choose one meal to cook better than anyone else, what would it be?
With the holidays coming up, I would love to know how to make a mean turkey feast!

{six} how many keys do you have on your key ring?
Eight. Brett's car, my car, my house, a key that I am not sure of (wondering if Brett put it on there maybe for his work?) mail key, real estate office key, filing cabinet at work key, Brett's parents house key.

{seven} do you give your pets birthday/christmas gifts?
We used to do something special for Molly our dog but haven't really for our cat.

{eight} when your plate has different foods on it, do you mix or not?
I totally mix foods! I love dipping chicken in mashed potatoes. I also dip my bacon in maple syrup. Don't knock it 'til you try it. :)

{nine} if you could hire someone to do one thing for you all the time, what would it be?
Work out for me? Just kidding....preparing healthy meals would be awesome! And of course cleaning up afterwards.

{ten} when flying, do you prefer the window or aisle seat?
Aisle seat, that way you can lean away from the person in the middle unless that person is with you!
