I just know you have a ton going on, knew it was a family day and figured you would not want to watch my kiddos. I'm so glad you are getting involved more in th Women's Ministeries, you've always had a gifting for ministering to other women. Travis and I were just talking about keep balance as we get involved in our new church. I have a tendency to be the opposite of you - choosing nothing over something. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, they definately spoke to me!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7591308797413006520.post-89700540886378392662010-08-17T19:37:34.854-07:002010-08-17T19:37:34.854-07:00All I have to say is AMEN! I could spend all day walking circles, picking up the same toys, stacking the same pile of books over and over - or I can live. I choose to live. ;)
Love ya, Patti! I struggle with what is 'quality time' with Mia, when we're out running errands going to the park going for walks, yada yada, or staying home and giving her my undivided attention for a certain amt of time each day. balance is tricky, and i think it's hard b/c us mamas can be so hard on our selves. i just loved your post. and i'm happy for you that you are starting to find your balance and be at peace with it! i'm still in the midst of finding mine :)

i may have asked you already, but what devotion do you dO? scott and i are starting a parenting one, but i'd love one for myself. please share!

you keep rockin-you're an awesome mommy/wife/friend
jessOurLittleBlessingShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00750860192957580697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7591308797413006520.post-20972894446402062432010-08-17T18:52:20.930-07:002010-08-17T18:52:20.930-07:00LOVED your post! He was not easygoing and it was difficult to go much of anywhere. I hated being here so much. As he's gotten older, I have loved being able to be on the go. I hear you on needing the occassional morning off. I usually work out 4-5 days a week and Ryan plays at the gym's daycare for about 1 1/2 hours. Some days, I just need a morning with him. I still struggle because he doesn't sit still for anything. He's always moving or wanting my attention constantly lately which is hard. I am really trying to teach him to play on his own more. While I do play with him some, it's so hard being at home when he gets so bored. We are a "moving" family too. We are rarely home on the weekends either. We never were home before Ryan was born. Now, we're always going somewhere. While I love being on the move, sometimes time at home is needed. I usually reserve the morning for on the go stuff and the afternoons after nap time, to be at home. Thanks for your post!KellyWhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12349744421998545705noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7591308797413006520.post-41787384513406785262010-08-17T18:27:46.146-07:002010-08-17T18:27:46.146-07:00This was an awesome post, Patti!! Some say i'm too busy w/ theatre, but you know what? it is my passion & i know God has a purpose for me being there (It's a mission field!) & i LOVE it. i also know the power of the word "no", i don't say "yes" just b/c i feel obligated.

I am thrilled you are making time for women's ministry, too. I love what your husband said, too.

YAY!Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14815407660365883762noreply@blogger.com
