I agree, a good visual is defini...You're back! I agree, a good visual is definitely helpful. I felt so successful with running in 2010 that I tried to maintain and/or top my mileage in 2011. I just ended up feeling defeated and I basically threw in the towel on ALL exercise. It's like I'm mentally paralyzed and can't even see myself as a runner anymore. The illustration of paving a path with bricks is helpful. I need to start back slowly and eventually I'll be into a regular rhythm again. Thank you for sharing that quote.
